Repent and Never Go Back
There's a difference between saying "I'm sorry", and repenting. When we do something wrong we tell God "I'm Sorry", but then we find ourselves doing it again. We weren't sorry for what we did we were just sorry there were bad consequences. There's a lot of people who tell God they're sorry but do the same thing over and over again. God doesn't want you to keep saying "I'm sorry", he wants to change your heart. He wants you to turn from your sin. He wants you to repent. Turning away for your sin and never going back. It can be hard to know if we're just saying sorry or if we're repenting but the best way to know is how your respond to the same situations. Do you still lie when you get the chance? Immediately get into fights? Disobey your mom and give her attitude? If so you probably didn't repent. But if you change how you act. Telling the truth, not getting into those fights, and obey your mom and being respectful. Thats proof you repented. Don't just say your sorry. Repent and Never Go Back!
Our Memory Verse this week is:
“Repent and turn from your sins.” Ezekiel 18:30
