Helping at the Tabernacle
Read: 1 Samuel 1:28; 2:11,18-21,26
Last week we learned that God answered Hannah's prayer by sending her a son named Samuel. This week we will learn more about Samuel. Because God answered her prayers so Hannah gave her son back to God to work in the temple. He did practical tasks for Eli the priest, helping out around the temple. His role grew over time, to serve as priest, prophet, judge, and leader. His lifelong work was built on that early experience of basic help around the temple. He served God first in the little things. How can you serve God in little ways this week? Can you help your parents around the house or maybe help clean up your toys in your class at church? Doing anything for God is really valuable! Remember God loves you so much!
Our memory verse this week is:
"Whatever you do, do your work for the Lord." Colossians 3:23
