All God Wants For Christmas is Your Heart

We know Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus. That being said, the gifts are a huge part of the season. It is "The Season of Giving" after all! You probably have a huge wishlist for Christmas! You know what your siblings, and parents want for Christmas; but have you ever thought about what God wants for Christmas? It feels kinda silly... I mean he's God what could he possibly need, or want? Would it be money? Or a new car? No.. he doesn't want that stuff. There's only one thing God wants this year for Christmas. It's something only you can give him. Your heart! You see he can't just have your heart. You have to choose to give it to him. How do you do that? I mean you can't wrap it up like a toy, but you can love him with all of heart, soul, and strength. Choosing to live for God by praying, reading your bible, and spending time with him. Just like any other relationship with family, or friends talking to God and spending time with him is how you can give him your heart. The best part is God wants you just the way you are. He wants your whole heart. Not just the good stuff, but he wants your hurts too! In our bible lesson we learned that the shepherds had a dirty job, but they go home and clean up before they came to Jesus. No, they ran right to him, just the way they were. That's how it is with God you don't have to clean yourself up to come to him. Just come to him. This Christmas there's only one gift God wants, and that's you! Merry Christmas!
