The Word of God is Your Power

“...and take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God.”

Ephesians 6:17

The last part of the Armor Of God is the Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, and the word of God is the bible!

What is a sword? It's a weapon that cuts through things and deflects attacks. God's word does the same thing it cuts through our fears and worries.

But how?? It's just a book!

When we are afraid we can speak out God's word.

"Be Strong and Courageous." Deuteronomy 31:6, 7, 23 ; Joshua 1:6, 7, 9, 18

or when we feel alone

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

or when we are worried

"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16

Jesus even used scripture to fight temptation in the wilderness.

We should follow his wonderful example of how to use God's word!

To use scripture we have to know it so don't forget to read God's word today!
