David and Mephibosheth

Read: 1 Samuel 20:14-17, 20:42; 2 Samuel 9
When David finally became King, he kept a promise he made to his good friend Jonathan even though Jonathan had died. David searched for Jonathan's son Mephibosheth, and when he found him David brought him into his home to take care of him! Normally a new King would kill all of the old Kings family to get rid of the competition. But David kept his promise! This was extremely generous. God was kind to David so he was kind to others! How can you be kind to others? How can you be generous? This week ask God to help you be kind to others and generous! Remember God loves you so much!
