H.E.R.O. Never Give Up Hope

Our memory verse today is "Nothing is Impossible with God." Luke 1:37

We are starting our hero series and we aren't talking about people in capes we're talking about how you can be a hero! Every person who reads this has the potential to accomplish great things with God. Every hero has a few things in common and the first is "They Never Give Up Hope." What is your dream? What is the thing that God has put in your heart? We can have hope that God will finish the good work he started in our hearts.

A lot of people throughout history have done things for God that changed the world! One of my favorites is Martin Luther King jr. He had a dream that his children wouldn't be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character. He had a dream that there would be equal opportunities for everyone in America. It was hard but he never lost hope. He was arrested, beaten, and eventually he lost his life but he never gave up hope because he trusted that God was good! And today, even though God's work isn't finished yet, MLK jr.'s dream has come true!

In the Bible there was another man named Nehemiah who God asked to rebuild a great wall to protect God's people. They had only a short time to build the wall, there weren't a lot of them, and their enemies were all around them threatening them and making fun of them! However Nehemiah didn't lose hope and they finished the wall!

What has God asked you to do? Is it starting a bible study at school? Telling your family about Jesus? Has God called you to be a doctor, construction worker, teacher, or maybe God has put it in your to be the best mom or dad you can be! Whatever your dream is don't let problems discourage you or distract you from the hope that only comes from God. Never give up hope, because nothing is impossible with God!
