H.E.R.O Put Others Before Yourself
Our memory verse today is “Don’t be concerned about your own good but the good of others.” 1 Corinthians 10:24
We have been in our H.E.R.O. series and for the final week the O stands for "Others". As in put others before yourself.
The world tells you to watch out for yourself and to not care about others. To do what is only best for you! To do whatever you can to have the most money and power and stuff as you can.
However, God tells us to love our neighbor. To humble ourselves and serve others.
Jesus humbled himself and washed his own disciples feet he said we should do the same. That the greatest of these will be a servant of all.
So what does that mean? It means we find ways to help others around us. Sit with that kid in class that doesn't have any friends, help out your siblings with chores and homework, be kind even when you don't feel like it.
Will you put others before yourself? Because that's what a true H.E.R.O. does.
