Jesus is Bigger Than Your Fears

Fear is a very real thing that all of us are faced with in our lives. And it's so different for each & every one of us depending on a lot of different things. It's different for each & every one of you.

For some kids they're really afraid & wonder what's going to happen to them & their family; maybe they're in a shelter & they don't know what the future holds & that scares them. Some kids are afraid for their safety. They're afraid of violence in the streets or at home & of getting hurt. Some kids are afraid of someone walking out on them & leaving them all alone like maybe their father already did. Some kids are afraid of getting really sick or their afraid to go to sleep at night because of the nightmares that they have or their afraid of the bullies that they have to face at school. Fears can look so big & so tall in our lives, they tower over us. They seem impossible for us to deal with, we don't know what to do; it feels like we're just powerless against them.

But let me tell you something, there is something that is bigger than your fears. actually it's someone who is bigger than them! And that's Jesus.

When you feel powerless against your fear you need to look to Jesus; pray to Him, tell Him all about how you feel & ask Him for His help. And when you do that He'll come on into your situation & help you overcome that fear & give you peace in your heart. Jesus is bigger than your fears so look to Him when you feel powerless. And that's exactly what our memory verse says today from Psalm 34:4...

"I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears."

That's why you need to look to Jesus when you feel powerless because He is bigger than your fears. Jesus has all of the power in the world & there's nothing that He can't do. There's no problem too big for Him. No situation that He can't handle. No fear that we have that is bigger than Him. And the things that we're afraid of & are way too big for us to handle, they are small compared to Him. There will always be something in your life that you're afraid of, it could be any of these things or other things I haven't even mentioned, but Jesus is bigger than them all. Jesus is mighty & He is powerful & He is there for you when your heart is full of fear. So you don't have to be afraid, you just need to look to Jesus. Jesus is bigger that our fears, so look to Him when you feel powerless.
