The Word Of God Is a Treasure For You!

By definition, the word Treasure means anything that is greatly valued or highly prized. People spend their entire life looking for Treasures to give their lives meaning and purpose. They think if they have a house, a car, lots of money or lots of things that they have found Treasures, but most people never find the Treasure they are looking for. I’ll tell you why. They are looking for their Treasure in the wrong place. The Word of God is a Treasure for us. All we have to do is open it up and put it on the inside of us. God's Word is more valuable than anything else.

If someone told us that one million dollars was abandoned in an old building somewhere, we would make every effort to be the first persons at that building. Why? One million dollars is all some people think they need to have a happy life.

Today we want to tell you where your true Treasure lies. It's not in some cave waiting to be turned into a diamond. It's not in the sea waiting to develop into a pearl. It's near to you. The Word of God is a Treasure for you. In the Word of God will find out who God is.

Acts 17:24-25  
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.”

You will find out who you are,

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

and you will find out what God wants for you.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

The Word of God is more than a set of rules; it is the measuring line for our lives. It is the determining factor for success and failure in our lives. The Word of God is the anchor that holds our lives in place. Our Memory Verse this week is:
“The Law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces."
