God Commands You To Forgive Others

It's not easy to forgive others. Actually it's one of the hardest things to do! Maybe your friend didn't invite you to their birthday party, or your dad forgot to go to your dance recital, or one of your siblings broke your favorite toy. People do things that let us down or hurt our feelings all the time, and it can be really easy to hold onto our anger and sadness. God commands us to give it to him and forgive those who have wronged us. He tells us to forgive others because he forgave for our sin.

Most people think forgiveness is about the other person, letting them off the hook, but sometimes it does more for us than for them. Holding onto anger just hurts you but forgiving others lifts that heaviness off of our hearts and helps us to heal.

I know it's hard but God commands you to forgive others.
